The Evil Push To Defund Police

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgement. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” -Romans 13:1-4

Oh the relevancy, and precision of God and His Word. At every riot, there should be an antagonist to the racially-charged-media-driven-narrative, who has a sign with this passage on it. They probably wouldn’t last long, because these are far from peaceful protests. The only masks that are being worn at these protests are used to cover the face as more crimes are being committed. Incredibly, COVID-19 seems to know how to avoid these large gatherings, but I’ll leave that for another article.

In Austin, Texas their local government just voted to defund their police department by $150,000,000, and Christians should be outraged at this. This is a direct attack on God’s design for a society, and God’s servants. I was recently in Austin at the Constitutional Rights Summit, and I saw a large group of Austin Police, they were on bicycles. I was standing with a group of people, and some started laughing. They said, “This police department cannot even afford to put these guys in vehicles anymore.” They laughed, but I cried inside.

Christians should be outraged at this push to defund the police department, because it is a direct attack on God’s design, and it is good to note that the money that is being taken from the police department is going to abortion clinics. Defund those who protect lives, and fund those who murder innocent children. This is the reality of what is going on in our society today. Here’s a portion of an article from the Texas Tribune that covered the defunding of Austin’s police department,

“These immediate cuts would include eliminating funding from three planned police cadet classes and reallocating funds to areas like violence prevention, food access, and abortion access programs.”

Marxist groups like Black Lives Matter are behind these pushes for the defunding of police. It wasn’t the citizens of Austin as a whole who pushed for this, and the City Council ignored their community, and bit the fruit of social justice. Christians cannot embrace groups like Black Lives Matter, because these organizations are a deceptive front for something else. Our African-American brothers and sisters lives absolutely do matter, because they are made in the image of God. That being said, these organizations are capitalizing on the pain of the black community, and pushing other Marxist agendas that directly attack God’s design for the home, for marriage, and for society.

I myself want to see my African-American brothers and sisters prosper, and they do. It should be known that the greatest enemy to the black community is not the police force, it is abortion clinics. says this,

“This much is true: In the United States, the abortion rate for black women is almost five times that for white women.”

I want to see my brothers and sisters succeed, and I want to see their greatest enemy defunded and outlawed, Planned Parenthood.

After the defunding of the police department in Austin, Texas, Governor Gregg Abbot said this,

“Austin’s decision puts the brave men and women of the Austin Police Department and their families at greater risk, and paves the way for lawlessness. Public safety is job one and Austin has abandoned that duty.”

It is time that our society takes the Word of God seriously. It is time that Christian’s exercise discernment and see these deceptive movements for what they are. The devil disguises himself as an angel of light, and his servants claim to represent the light as well. These movements sound noble, just, and right on the surface, but as you begin to peel the layers back you see the activity of satan.

We cannot see our brave men and women who protect our societies be demonized, and demolished. We need officers now, as lawlessness increases, more than ever. God bless those who fulfill their call to uphold the law in our societies.
